What is cryptocurrency?

A cryptocurrency is simply a digital currency that runs without the control of any central authority. In other words, cryptocurrencies have a system whereby they control themselves using cryptography to establish trust without intervention from its users.

The way most cryptocurrency works is using a large number (with hundreds of digits) called a SEED and running that number through one-way functions that maps that number to another unique number usually with less digit.

Example: Think of a seed like the number 43. Now lets say our derived public number is 12. Lets assume our one-way function to derive the public number is multiplying each digit so 43 becomes 4*3 = 12. That means 12 is our public number we can give everyone. Now if we are someone else, you can give us your address (12) and we can send

and makes it virtually impossible to figure out the original input.
